Origins

In 2023, St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church took its first steps toward planting a new congregation.

With a deep commitment to the Great Commission, the St. Paul’s Session encouraged every member to consider how they might take part in the work of church planting in northeast Orlando—committing to “give away their best” so that the kingdom of Christ might be made known.

In 2025, Rev. John Cherne was called to this mission church and relocated to shepherd the beginnings of Christ the King Presbyterian Church. Under the care of St. Paul’s Session and in partnership with the Central Florida Presbytery, this daughter church is being planted with the hope that many will behold God’s glory and come to know His grace.

Our Mission

To behold God’s glory and to make known
His grace until our faith becomes sight.

Our Values

Scriptural Authority

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. They are our final rule for faith and life, shaping all that we believe, teach, and do.

Reverent Worship

God calls His people into both public and private worship. On the Lord’s Day, we gather morning and evening in the fellowship of the church to behold His glory and partake of His means of grace. At all times, we seek to live as living sacrifices—prayerfully dependent upon the Lord.

Gospel Clarity

At the heart of the Holy Scriptures is the good news of God’s grace toward us in His Son, Jesus Christ. By grace, we receive and rest upon this good news by faith alone for salvation.

Heartfelt Hospitality

The gospel shapes how we live together, reflecting Christ’s love inwardly through shepherding care and warm fellowship, and outwardly through compassionate witness to the ends of the earth.
